Full University Goes Digital no Hard Copy Books to Be Found.

I don't know how I feel about this.  A full University goes digital and into Ebooks and electronic mode.  I don't know how I would be able to function or comprehend anything.  I am not one for Ebooks and I might be old school in saying that but I need the physical hard copy in hand.  I mean what if there is a power outage and you have no way to work or function when you can't read your books and your smartphones, tablets, laptops, and portable power packs can only last a short amount of time without needing a wall charger to hook up to.  The thoughts of this just blows my mind.  Yes, they did say you can rent hard copy text books through InterLibrary Loans but you can only keep them for a short amount of time and can't renew them.  Just the thought of this totally blows my mind.  Also, they said that only 10% of the population doesn't own a computer at home.  So this is a huge deal especially when they can only use the computers at school to get their work done.

  1. Hi Stephanie! I totally agree about preferring hard copies of books - reading online too long hurts my eyes. Also, I think you make a great point about a lot of people not having access to computers. Cool post!
